17 The Star

17 The Star

UPRIGHT - Hope - Healing - Inspiration

REVERSED - Hopelessness - Lack of Faith - Disconnection

For The Star, I always think of Vivian from Stardust, radiant, otherworldly and a guiding light in the darkest night. She’s hope personified, a wish come true and proof that there’s magic waiting just beyond the ordinary.

But The Star is more than just movie magic for me, it’s a sign from my dad, a reminder that love shines on, even when it feels far away. When this card appears, it’s like getting a little nudge from the universe (and from him) that healing, hope and guidance are always within reach.

Bottom line: Vivian is The Star because she’s luminous hope in human form. And for me, this card glows a little brighter, reminding me that my dad’s light is never really gone.

UPRIGHT - This is the card of gentle miracles. The Star appears when healing is underway, even if you can’t fully feel it yet. It’s reassurance, spiritual clarity, and the calm belief that things will get better. Vulnerability becomes strength here, and hope becomes a steady glow instead of a desperate wish. Let yourself rest, alignment is returning naturally.

REVERSED - The night feels long, and hope feels quiet. The Star reversed appears when faith wavers and self-trust dips. You may feel disconnected from your purpose or unsure whether healing is really happening. This card isn’t a warning; it’s reassurance in disguise. The light you’re looking for hasn’t vanished; it’s just been dimmed by doubt. Turn your focus inward and tend to your own glow gently.
