16 The Tower

16 The Tower

UPRIGHT - Awakening - Upheaval - Disruption

REVERSED - Resistance - Delays - Avoidance

When it comes to the Tower, Truman from The Truman Show is my go-to guy. One minute, he’s living in blissful ignorance, the next, his whole world comes crashing down, literally, as the set starts to break and the truth cracks open around him. The Tower isn’t about punishment; it’s the universe kicking over the sandcastle so you can finally build something real.

Truman’s journey shows us that sometimes, everything has to fall apart before you can break free and discover who you really are. The Tower shakes things up, but it’s also the first step toward true freedom and authentic living.

Bottom line: Truman is The Tower because sometimes, the biggest breakthroughs come from the wildest shake-ups.

UPRIGHT - Boom. Plot twist. The Tower upright is radical, unavoidable change. Illusions shatter, egos bruise and the truth comes in hot. This card is the moment you can’t unsee what you’ve seen and there’s no going back. While it may feel like everything’s falling apart, it’s actually falling into place. What survives this storm is real.

REVERSED - The big shake-up didn’t happen yet, but the tension is thick enough to taste. The Tower reversed shows avoidance, fear of change, or clinging to false stability because it feels safer than rebuilding. The message is clear: transformation is still coming, but you’re being offered a chance to participate consciously instead of being flung into it.
