13 Death

13 Death

UPRIGHT - Endings - Transformation - Rebirth

REVERSED - Resistance - Fear - Dependency

When I think of the Death card, I think of Scott McCall ordinary teen turned supernatural alpha. Death isn’t about endings, it’s about transformation: letting go of the old, embracing the unknown and levelling up your life (sometimes with fangs). Scott’s journey is all about facing big changes, grieving what’s lost and discovering new strength on the other side.

He teaches us that real growth means letting go, even when it’s scary, because every ending cracks the door open to a whole new story. Death in tarot is change you can’t ignore and Scott proves that sometimes you have to “die” to your old self to find your true power.

Bottom line: Scott from Teen Wolf is the Death card because real transformation is messy, brave and totally worth it.

UPRIGHT - This isn’t the end, it’s the release. Death arrives when something has fully run its course and staying would do more harm than leaving. This card is transformation, shedding skin, and closing doors that were never meant to be permanent homes. It’s uncomfortable, final, and deeply necessary. When Death appears, the universe is saying: let it go cleanly. What’s next needs the space you’re clinging to.

REVERSED - The ending’s overdue, and the universe is getting impatient. Death reversed points to resistance — clinging to what’s familiar even though it’s draining the life out of you. Fear of change keeps you stuck in a chapter that’s already finished. This card isn’t about doom; it’s about delay. Letting go now will hurt far less than being dragged forward later. Transformation is inevitable, grace is optional.
